The Data & Analytics Product Manager provides visionary and strategic leadership with the goal of creating industry-leading next generation data and analytic platforms that drive business value to users and stakeholders.

The role is accountable for defining and executing data & analytics focused programs - powered by big data analytics - focused across multiple core banking functions including personal banking, insurance, lending, investments, employee benefits, and corporate banking. The position is ideal for an individual that can successfully combine product management, marketing strategy, and data analytics.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

Strategy

  • Engages with senior executives on defining the data and analytics roadmaps that drive business value
  • Leads end-to-end product life-cycle management, strategy, analytics, project management, user experience & product design
  • Drives the development of a product vision, strategy, and global roadmap taking into consideration key stakeholder capability and product needs
  • Manages and influences key stakeholders across business and technology to develop, outline, and communicate product visions
  • Participates and leads gathering of research to identify articulated and non-articulated product needs (in terms of Personas, problem-set, solution-space)
  • Closely monitors product portfolios and business composition, gathering relevant data to gain new insights, adjust roadmaps, and optimize delivery plan
  • Sets priorities for product capabilities and features in response to business needs, IT architecture, product deployment and release
  • Conducts elaboration sessions to solicit requirements from external partners
  • Brings an inventive as well as an innovative approach to the product strategy

Leadership

  • Oversees and manages product budgets established in consultation with stakeholders by balancing resources and adjusting product vision as needed
  • Communicates challenges and successes within project groups, IT and business
  • Participates in all agile events of the product group as a team member
  • Works with other product teams (finance, risk, operations and technology) to define, prioritize, deliver and align solutions to product vision and roadmap
  • Guides the creation of epics, stories, testing conditions, scripts, and validation criteria

Development

  • Partners with peers to drive continuous improvement of service processes, user experiences and application optimization
  • Manages the partnership between the product team (including developers, testers, validation, etc.) and project team members to deliver key business opportunities and outcomes and drive continuous delivery of value employing agile IT lifecycle management from product prototyping, development, optimizations, and renewals to product termination.
  • Serves as the technical SME on assigned products and consults as needed with other integrating systems
  • Oversees support vendors & ensures their compliance with the organization’s processes and procedures
  • Engages with key IT stakeholders to drive architecture, infrastructure, and quality excellence throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Uses broad knowledge of IT and business to define and enhance products, develop prototypes, and create a roadmap for ongoing and new product development
  • Works closely with development teams to create new product releases focusing on additional and/or new functionality, product simplification and to increase transparency
  • Estimates approximate workload requirements and timeline predictions for projects and monitors and prioritizes workflow and capacity toward delivering the greatest value to the product users
  • Supports technology teams with prioritization of backlog, testing, user experience testing, product backlog refinement, research and other duties as assigned
  • Works to keep agile teams unblocked and aligned

  • Manages and optimizes the end-to-end customer experience
  • Understands client needs and uses of the platform and dependencies
  • Facilitates and drives customer focused solutions across the organization
  • Proactively monitors and maintains product-related end-to-end customer/business experiences and outcomes
  • Contributes a deep knowledge of users and customers and how they engage with our products, industry trends, and the competitive landscape as they pertain to the product
  • Acts as voice of the customer and drives product vision

REQUIREMENTS

Education, Experience & Minimum Requirements

  • BS/BA in computer science, data science, or relevant field: MBA/MS will be preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of designing, building and managing modern enterprise data.
  • Banking, insurance, or other similar financial services experience strongly preferred.

Technical Competencies

  • Excellent knowledge of best practices, industry trends and compliance requirements in Data Modeling, Governance and Data Management
  • Subject Matter Expert in how businesses, especially banking institutions, can leverage data

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
